Liposuction Before & After Case 24

This 46 year-old woman from Orlando, Fl desired improving her body to reverse the changes of childbirth. Her son was getting married and she wanted to look and feel her best. Because of the tight timeline for the wedding she appreciated the importance of having her surgery performed by a board-certified plastic surgeon. She sought Michael Diaz, MD, a Melbourne, FL plastic surgeon. 

During her consultation Dr. Diaz took a detailed history and performed a physical examination. He learned that she had previously undergone breast augmentation many years prior with saline breast implants. She wanted to update her look and increase her volume with new smooth round silicone gel “gummy bear” implants. She also wanted to get rid of the loose skin and “muffin top” while narrowing her waist. After listening to her desires, Dr. Diaz created an individual Mommy Makeover surgical plan, which included an implant exchange using smooth round silicone gel implants, increasing her volume to help tighten the the breast skin and add volume to the upper pole. A tummy tuck would  help tighten the skin and repair the separated muscles. Liposuction of the flanks would be performed as well.

During her surgery, Dr. Diaz placed 375 Moderate Plus profile implants, an modest increase in her original volume of 300cc. Moderate Plus Profile implants were selected to fill in the upper pole without being excessively large. Because this patient desired short scar breast surgery, Dr. Diaz  placed the implants in the Dual Plane pocket with the aid off the Keller Funnel, which allows implants to be placed with a shorter scar and aids with the minimal touch technique.
