Breast Augmentation Before & After Case 65
Before & After
Case Details
This 52 year-old woman desired improvement of her breasts. She wanted to restore fullness she lost after her pregnancies and recent weight loss. She did not know if she required a breast lift and so she scheduled a visit with Michael Diaz, MD, a Melbourne Fl breast augmentation specialist. She was recommended to Dr. Diaz though word-of-mouth.
During her visit she expressed her desires and the goals she wanted to achieve with a breast augmentation. Her examination revealed loss of volume as well as some descent of the breast and stretched skin. There was also a minor amount of unevenness. Dr. Diaz had a lengthy conversation with her over multiple visits describing her options and what each could accomplish. A breast augmentation with implants would restore her volume. A breast lift could also be performed at the same time to lift the nipple and tighten the skin. Ultimately the patient decided to have an augmentation first and then reevaluate the need for a lift later. Dr. Diaz listens to his patients and so they agreed to a breast augmentation. He also discussed implants options and the patient selected smooth round silicone gel “gummy bear” implants.
Her procedure was performed as an outpatient. The asymmetry was minor enough that placing the same volume implant was the most desirable result. 339 cc smooth round moderate profile implants were placed under the muscle in a “dual-plane” fashion. Her recovery was smooth. Initially she had some swelling that resolved. She started back with very very active lifestyle. After several months she decided that she was happy with the restored volume and so opted against a breast lift. She is thrilled because this operation achieved the goals she had set out to improve.
